I'm Kurt Krueger. For most of my career I've done two things at once: tax and accounting work for small businesses, and software for our own firm.

I'm a shareholder at The CPA Group PC in Monett and Cassville, Missouri — full-service tax, accounting, and consulting, with clients in agriculture, farming, and local government. On the other side of the desk I founded KISAES, LLC: Keep It Simple Accounting Entry Systems. Same philosophy as the firm — keep it accurate, keep it simple, price it fairly.

In 2024 I started using Claude Code seriously. The cycle from “I have an annoying problem” to “I have a working tool” went from six months and a contractor to one weekend and a coffee. A whole family of self-hosted tools followed — Trial Balance, MyBooks, 1099, Tax Research, Calculators, Payroll Time, Print, and AI Router, bundled by the Vibe Appliance on one Ubuntu box with a single command — plus two desktop apps, Vibe Files and ClientLedger.
